Protecting the environment is a matter of the heart for us at Eleonora Bed & Breakfast. Concern for the environment and nature is present in all our choices and activities. Everyone in the staff participates in the environmental work and we work according to the same principles and objectives.

 

We sort both our own and guests' waste carefully and according to given instructions and recommendations. We also give our guests advice in sorting.

We use water carefully and have water-efficient showers, taps and toilet seats. We encourage our guests to use the towels more than once in order to save both water and energy.

We use eco-labeled cleaning agents for cleaning and washing dishes.

We use LED lights as lighting and rechargeable batteries.

We use textiles partly made from recycled materials.

We prioritize organic and / or locally produced raw materials and food.

We recommend environmentally friendly mobility. Kristinestad is excellent for exploring on foot or by bike.

We keep the property's technical and electronic equipment in good condition, so that they work in an energy efficient way.

We also inspire our guests by advising them on how to think and act organically during their stay.

We inform you about the area's natural attractions and how you can enjoy them in an environmentally friendly way.

We heat our house with geothermal heating.

In the summer, we cool the property with energy from the geothermal system.

We use electricity made from 100% solar energy.
